Course Duration: 2 semesters plus LITP


Course Content

The Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) in collaboration with Malta Enterprise and the Employment & Training Corporation (ETC) has set up this course, which combines theoretical and practical sessions to provide a balanced study environment in preparation for the Certificate level. Its aim is to provide the student with exposure to the necessary knowledge and skills in line with the requirements of the hospitality and tourism sectors.

  • ICT Foundation
  • Introduction to Housekeeping
  • Introduction to Front Office
  • Introduction to Bartending
  • Introduction to Food Preparation & Production in Theory & Practice
  • Food & Beverage Services in Theory &  Practice
  • Individual Kitchen & Larder
  • Cultural Awareness
  • Fitness Practice


Entry Criteria: Completed School Leaving Certificate + profiling interview

Minimum Age: 16 years (as at 31st December of the year application is submitted)
