The Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) has launched a new accredited award for real estate agents and consultants. The award, is open for those already working in the real estate industry and prospective agents and consultants who would like to improve their knowledge and skills through an accredited award. The award was developed by ITS following demand by real estate agencies to bridge an existing knowledge and skills gap when dealing with potential foreign real estate clients who are interested in buying property in Malta and Gozo. The award includes modules from the HND in Tour Guiding course and specific industry related module, including successful real estate selling skills.
Participants will learn how to handle all aspects related to property, from finding potential buyers, maintaining house integrity, and making sure tenants respect their contractual obligations while taking into consideration the beauty, advantages, history and traditions of the Maltese islands.
The course will prepare participants to deal with their prospective clients, taking the proper approach, give value added to the clients through history, managing negotiations and closing sales efficiently. The sales module will teach effective ways of how to manage, administer and sell property owned by third party.
The real estate award holds 17 ECTS and is an MQF Level 5 award. This part-time course will be held in the evenings and is spread over a sixteen-week period.
An MQF Level 4 in English.
Applicants who do not possess this level of certification will also be eligible to apply upon successful completion of a proficiency test in English undertaken at ITS.
A mature student
The tuition fee is that of €500 + a registration fee of €100 which also includes an English Proficiency Test.

This course will commence in on 2nd October 2017. It will be running on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for fourteen weeks. Lectures will be at ITS and will be start at 5.30pm.
