ITS’ main responsibility is to provide the tourism sector with professional personnel capable of guaranteeing excellence in the standard of products and services offered within the hospitality industry both in Malta and internationally.
A vast selection of courses, ranging from Foundation to Degree level, ensure that students have the opportunity of specialising in areas best suited to their capabilities and interests.
Agreements with top international Universities and Institutions ensure that students could graduate from a reputable educational institute and in the process, students also get the opportunity to study for a period of time within these institutions across Europe, obtaining a wider experience in the field of study while developing their skills on an international level. ITS is currently working closely with several institutions including the highly esteemed Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Finland and Institut Paul Bocuse in France.
As part of their studies, ITS students acquire theoretical knowledge and receive extensive hands on experience through the ITS teaching restaurants as well as and through a Local Industrial Trade Practice (LITP) and an International Internship Trade Practice (IITP).
Attesting to the success of the ITS training programmes is the fact that Institute of Tourism Studies graduates enjoy a 98% success rate of finding a job, both locally and internationally.
The Institute of Tourism Studies operates from two campuses, one located in Luqa, Malta situated close to the Malta International Airport and another campus in Qala, Gozo.
